I am an assistant professor at the University of Rochester's Department of Political Science and an affiliate with the W. Allen Wallis Institute of Political Economy.

I completed my Ph.D. at The University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy and a post-doctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University’s Center for the Study of Democratic Institutions.


My research studies the influence of electoral and distributive politics on the policymaking process. I am beginning to conduct research on food policy, a teaching passion of mine. Please click below to see my published and working papers.
